Second Charge Mortgages:



A second charge mortgage or also known as a secured loan, can release the equity in your home for further borrowing, without the need to re mortgage your existing first charge mortgage.

The existing fist charge mortgage remains unaffected and will stay in place and the second charge will be a separate mortgage using the equity of the property. A second charge can be beneficial if you do not want to loose a preferential rate on your mortgage or face heavy early repayment charges to redeem out of a fixed rate period.


Further borrowing can be used for any legitimate reason and the most common reasons for borrowing are:
